Nadeem Omar, the owner of the Quetta Gladiators franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has been unanimously elected as the president of the Regional Cricket Association (RCA) in Karachi. The election process, which took place in one of the largest cricket regions, has concluded, and Nadeem and his team have emerged victorious in most of the zones. Similarly, Javed Ahmed Khan has been elected unopposed as the secretary of the association.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially announced on June 7 that Nadeem will serve as the president of Karachi cricket for the next three years. As part of the election process, the newly elected office bearers have been instructed to submit their undertakings within three days.
Nadeem is a well-respected figure in Karachi’s cricket community. His cricket club, known as the ‘Pakistan Club,’ has played a significant role in nurturing talented cricketers, including the former captain of the Pakistan national team, Sarfaraz Ahmed.
In addition to his involvement with the RCA Karachi, Nadeem also owns the Quetta Gladiators, one of the most successful teams in the PSL. The Gladiators secured the PSL title in 2019 under the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed, further cementing Nadeem’s influence and contribution to the sport.
