In a huge boost for cricket fans around the world, Pakistan’s pace sensation Naseem Shah and all-rounder sensation Fatima Sana are set to top the bill for the first-ever Canada Super 60 T10 League, which gets underway this July.
With more than 1,300 players representing 34 nations participating, the tournament guarantees a rich clash of global experience and emerging talents. Supported by Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh, the Super 60 is already causing tongues to wag globally.
The eight-franchise league will combine the excitement of T10 cricket with a worldwide platform for men’s and women’s players, a unique and thrilling format. Over 1,100 male and 235 female cricketers will be in the pool of players, and the dates of the official draft will be announced soon.
The men’s squad looks like a dream team: to join Naseem Shah are game-changer names like Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Rilee Rossouw, Finn Allen, Sikandar Raza, Jimmy Neesham, and Martin Guptill. Up-and-coming forces like Shamar Joseph and veteran internationals like Tim Southee, Lungi Ngidi, and Jason Holder further imbue the line-ups with firepower.
Fatima Sana and Naseem Shah to play among star-studded players
Among the women’s teams, Pakistan’s Fatima Sana heads a dominant lineup that includes world icons like Shabnim Ismail, Jess Jonassen, Deandra Dottin, and Lea Tahuhu. Sana, who led Pakistan to World Cup qualification recently, will be among the faces of the women’s tournament, demonstrating her rising stature in global cricket.
Tournament organizers, such as Scotland’s former skipper and assistant tournament director Kyle Coetzer, are delighted with the quality of players signing up for the event. “It’s fantastic to see some of the world’s greatest stars embracing the Canada Super 60,” Coetzer added. “Their participation will not only enhance the level of the tournament but also motivate the local cricket community and young candidates in Canada.”
With the men’s and women’s matches to be held concurrently, and a few of cricket’s biggest stars participating, the Canada Super 60 T10 League is promising to be one of the most-watched events of 2025.
