Nepal national cricket team’s captain, Sandeep Lamichhane has been drafted in Big Bash League (BBL) draft for season 2022/23.
Sandeep Lamichhane is the only player from Nepal to be drafted. Namibia’s David Wiese, Scotland’s Michael Jones and Mark Watt.
UAE’s Vriitya Aravind, America’s Ali Khan, Unmukt Chand, and Harmeet Singh.
Netherland’s Brendan Glover, Fred Klaassen, Roelof Van Der Merwe, and Paul Van Meerkeren are the players from other associate countries to be included in the draft.
Since debuting for Melbourne Stars in December 2018, Nepal’s spinning sensation Lamichhane has picked up 48 BBL wickets in 43 matches.
Later in 2020, Lamichhane was signed by Hobart Hurricanes after two good seasons with the Stars.
The Big Bash League draft will take place in Sydney on August 28. A total of 169 players from 13 countries have registered their names in the draft.
