Aqib Ilyas is set to lead Omad in T20 World Cup 2024 as a 15-player squad has been revealed on Wednesday. He has been appointed as the new captain replacing Zeeshan Maqsood. This leadership change signifies a new chapter for the team as they prepare for the global tournament.
The squad features a largely consistent core, with Shoaib Khan being the sole newcomer. Talented players like Jatinder Singh and Samay Shrivastav will act as reserves, aiming to potentially break into the main squad later.
Kashyap Prajapati and Naseem Khushi are expected to shoulder the opening responsibilities, providing a solid foundation for the batting order.
