Prior to their arrival in the United Kingdom, Pakistan will engage in an exhilarating three-T20I series against the Netherlands. Following this, they will test their mettle against Ireland in a two-T20I series. The details of these gripping encounters will be disclosed at a later date, heightening the anticipation for cricket enthusiasts.
The itinerary for Pakistan’s much-awaited tour of England in 2024 is as follows: The action will kick off with the first T20I on May 22 in the vibrant city of Leeds. The energy will continue to surge as the teams clash once again in the second T20I on May 25, this time in the cricket-loving city of Birmingham. The intensity will reach its zenith as they converge in Cardiff for the third T20I on May 28. Finally, the series will culminate with a grand finale at The Oval on May 30, promising a breathtaking spectacle for fans to savor.
This will be a significant encounter as the last T20I series between these two cricketing powerhouses took place in 2022, where England emerged victorious with a hard-fought 4-3 win on Pakistani soil. Pakistan, eager to prove their mettle, aim to reverse their fortunes after a 2-1 defeat suffered during a three-match T20I series against England in 2021. Furthermore, England’s triumph over Pakistan in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final in Melbourne last November adds an additional layer of anticipation and rivalry to this upcoming clash.
Excitement is not limited to the men’s teams alone. The ECB has also revealed the schedule for the enthralling matches between the Pakistan and England women’s teams. As the Pakistan men’s cricket team prepares for their imminent two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, a rigorous training camp has been initiated in Karachi.
