Pakistan Cricket Team to Get New Manager and Foreign Coaching Staff for Home Series Against New Zealand

The Pakistan cricket team is set to undergo some changes ahead of their upcoming home series against New Zealand. According to sources, there is a strong possibility that young Rehan-ul-Haq will make his debut as a Manager with the Pakistani team, replacing the experienced Mansoor Rana. Rehan is currently the General Manager of Pakistan Super League franchise, Islamabad United, and is considered the most suitable candidate for the post on the wishes of Mickey Arthur, the prospective team director and consultant of the national team.

Along with the new manager, foreign coaching staff is also expected to be appointed for the team. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) advertised for the post of ‘Team Manager’ and ‘Manager Analytics’ separately last week, and the deadline for submission of applications for these posts has been set till 6th April at 5 pm. However, PCB officials have reportedly already made up their minds to appoint Rehan ul Haq and Hasan Cheema to these posts.

In addition to the team manager and manager analytics, the PCB has also advertised for the posts of ‘League Commissioner’, ‘Director HR’ and ‘Administration and Head of ticketing and hospitality’. Naila Bhatti, who is already associated with PCB, is expected to be appointed as ‘League Commissioner’, Khayyam Qaiser as ‘Director HR’ and Mehwish Umar as ‘Head of ticketing and hospitality’. After the completion of the necessary formalities, the notification of the appointments of these five posts will be issued.

The appointment of foreign coaching staff is part of the PCB’s efforts to improve the performance of the national team. Pakistan’s recent performances have been below par, and the team has been struggling to find consistency. The appointment of Mickey Arthur as the prospective team director and consultant of the national team was also a part of this effort. Arthur has previously coached the South African and Australian cricket teams and is expected to bring a wealth of experience to the Pakistani team.

The appointment of Rehan-ul-Haq as the team manager is also being seen as a positive move by the PCB. Rehan has worked with Islamabad United for several years and has played a key role in the team’s success. He is well-respected in cricketing circles and is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the Pakistani team.

The appointment of a new manager and foreign coaching staff is a positive move by the PCB. The Pakistani cricket team has struggled in recent times, and these changes are expected to improve their performance. The appointment of Rehan-ul-Haq as the team manager is particularly exciting, and fans will be eagerly anticipating the upcoming series against New Zealand.
