The Pakistan Cricket Team obtained the second position in the updated ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points table. Pakistan took their win percentage from 66.66 to 75%. Bangladesh, on the other hand, is at the bottom of the table with two in two losses and zero points.
Sajid Khan’s magical spell dismantled Bangladesh with a 12-wicket haul in both innings combined. He wrapped up Bangladesh’s second innings for 205 as Pakistan sealed a victory by an innings and eight runs. Sajid took 8 wickets in the first innings of the second Test and entered the history books as the fourth-best bowling figure by a Pakistan in Test cricket history. He finished with figures of 15-4-42-8. Among the wicket-takers captain, Babar Azam got a wicket in his Test career by dismissing Mehidy lbw for a 70-ball 14.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam applauded Sajid’s brilliant effort of 12 wickets in the match and said:
“What a performance from my pack, kept on believing till the end. Special mention to Sajid, he surely made it the one to remember for himself and the team. Alhumdulillah.”
Pakistan whitewashed their hosts Bangladesh in both the T20I and Test series.
