The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to have its schedule announced on Friday, January 20. According to sources, the schedule for the upcoming season of PSL has been finalized and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will hold a final consultation with the PSL franchises on the day before the schedule is announced.
As per the current schedule, the grand opening ceremony of the event will take place in Multan. The tournament will be held at four venues, including Karachi, Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. The PSL will start on February 13 and the final match will be held on March 19.
Previously, the chairman of the PCB management committee, Najam Sethi, announced that the PSL season eight matches would take place in Quetta. However, the PCB has since decided to host an exhibition match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in Quetta on February 5.
It is worth mentioning that player retentions were announced on November 11, and the draft took place on December 15. This year’s PSL promises to be an exciting tournament with all teams preparing to give their best performances.
