The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently in the process of finalizing its squad for the highly anticipated five-match T20I series against Bangladesh, set to take place next month. Among the five players shortlisted, the group comprises four seasoned campaigners and a promising young pacer, indicating the PCB’s mix of experience and emerging talent.
PCB Reveals Five Players for Pakistan Bangladesh Series at Home
The selected players include Sahibzada Farhan, Hussain Talat, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, and the rising star Ali Raza. While the official squad announcement is yet to come, these five players have caught the selectors’ attention based on their performances in the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) and their past international experiences.
Farhan has been the standout player in the ongoing PSL 2025, where his explosive batting has earned him a place at the top of the global T20 run-scorer list. With 841 runs from 12 matches at an average of 84.10 and a staggering strike rate of 182.42, Farhan has firmly established himself as one of the most dangerous T20 players in the world. His impressive record includes four T20 centuries this year, placing him in the company of some of the best T20 players, including Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli.
These Players Are in Red-Hot Form During PSL X
Another notable name in the squad is Hussain Talat, who impressed with 193 runs for Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing PSL. Talat, an experienced all-rounder, has accumulated 394 T20I runs and looks set for a return to international cricket after a two-year hiatus. Alongside him, Faheem Ashraf, known for his all-round abilities, has contributed solid performances with both bat and ball in the PSL, making him a key contender for the series.
Hasan Ali, who has been in outstanding form for Karachi Kings, has taken 13 wickets in the current PSL season. The veteran pacer also made history by becoming the all-time leading wicket-taker in PSL history, surpassing Wahab Riaz.
The PCB has also been keeping a close eye on emerging pacer Ali Raza. The young bowler has taken eight wickets in six matches for Peshawar Zalmi, and his inclusion could add fresh energy to the bowling attack.
With Bangladesh set to arrive in Pakistan on May 21, the stage is set for a thrilling series. Exact match dates are yet to be finalized, but the preparations are already in full swing as the PCB looks to finalize its squad in the coming weeks.
