Proteas’ former captain Faf du Plessis won’t feature in today’s HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) match for Quetta Gladiators against Lahore Qalandars.
Faf said he suffered some memory loss, which, according to sources, includes the fact that he has forgotten about the incident, after sustaining a concussion in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. He collided with Quetta Gladiators teammate Mohammad Hasnain while trying to save a boundary in their 61-run defeat to Peshawar Zalmi.
The 36-year-old lay prone on the ground while the Gladiators’ physio attended him before he got up and was taken to hospital.
Opener Saim Ayub replaced du Plessis as a concussion substitute.
Du Plessis didn’t take part in the practice session on Monday, ahead of today’s encounter against Lahore Qalandars.
