One of the most notable developments is the likelihood that Mohammad Amir, a key player for Karachi Kings, may not be donning the Kings’ jersey in the upcoming season.
Reports suggest that Karachi will retain only five players ahead of the draft, and the retained names include James Vince, Hasan Ali (who was traded from Islamabad United), Shoaib Malik, Mir Hamza, and Tabraiz Shamsi.
The absence of Mohammad Amir from the list of retained players has sparked speculations about his potential move to Quetta Gladiators. This move could be part of a larger trade, with Multan Sultans’ Shan Masood likely to make his way to Karachi Kings, creating a dynamic exchange between the two franchises.
The Kings, who secured the PSL championship in 2020, have been making waves with recent trade announcements, including the transfer of Imad Wasim to Islamabad United and the acquisition of Hasan Ali. With the possibility of Shan Masood leading the Kings, a new chapter in the team’s leadership might be on the horizon, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans.
