The tournament, originally intended to champion the cause of road safety and curb accidents, now finds itself indefinitely postponed. The grand event, slated to commence on September 23, was exclusively set to unfold at the picturesque Uptonsteel County Ground, the esteemed home turf of Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
The announcement of this cricketing extravaganza’s postponement came by way of an official release from Leicestershire County Cricket Club. In the statement, unforeseen logistical challenges were pinpointed as the chief impetus behind the decision to delay. Nevertheless, the organizers remain steadfast in their commitment to the cause and are actively engaged in endeavors to reschedule the tournament for the subsequent year, 2024.
The statement read, “Regrettably, the much-anticipated Road Safety World Series (RSWS) UK, originally slated for Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicester, from September 23rd to October 1st, 2023, has been postponed indefinitely.” It further added, “The organizers are diligently working to set new dates for the tournament in the following year. Stay tuned for forthcoming updates regarding the Road Safety World Series UK 2024.”
