Samoa advanced to Asia-East Asia Pacific Qualifier of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

Samoa have advanced to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup East Asia Pacific Qualifier being the table topper of the points table with eight points.

Four teams, Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji and Vanuatu played a double round-robin format games where Samoa and Cook Islands had the most 8 points each. Samoa had 1.270 NRR and Cook Island had -0.008 NRR. With the higher NRR, Samoa have advanced to the Asia-East Asia Pacific Qualifier of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Samoa will join Nepal, Oman and Papua New Guinea in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Regional Final. A total of 9 participants will participate in the Regional Final. Nepal, Oman and Papua New Guinea are in the Regional Final from direct qualifiers. Samoa joined the Regional Final being the winner of EAP Qualifier A. Two teams from Asia Qualifier A, one from EAP Qualifier B and two from Asia Qualifier B will join Nepal, Oman, Papua New Guinea and Samoa in the Regional Final.
