Shikhar Dhawan was born on December 5, 1985, in Delhi, India. He attended St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School in Delhi. His father, Mahendra Pal Dhawan, and mother, Sunaina, raised him in a Punjabi middle-class family with roots in Ludhiana.
Shikhar Dhawan Cricket Life
Shikhar Dhawan started playing cricket at a young age and trained at the Sonnet Club under the supervision of Coach Tarak Sinha, who has already trained twelve cricketers on the international level. Initially, Dhawan played as a wicket-keeper for the club. He made his debut for Delhi in 2004 and played for the Under-17 and Under-19 Indian teams before making his ODI debut against Australia in 2010.

Shikhar Dhawan is a left-handed opening batsman and an occasional right-arm off-break bowler who has represented India in all three formats of international cricket. He made his ODI debut against Australia in 2010 and his Test debut against the same team in 2013, where he scored the fastest century by a debutant in Test cricket. Dhawan is a prolific scorer in ICC tournaments and has scored the most runs by an Indian in the Champions Trophy. In 2015, he was the highest scorer for India in the World Cup.
