Walferdange – September 14, 2025: Switzerland Women produced a commanding all-round display to beat Luxembourg Women by eight wickets in the final of the Luxembourg Women’s T20I Tri-Series 2025. Led by Meghna Rajan’s Player-of-the-Match performance, the Swiss side chased down 82 with ease to seal the tournament crown.
Luxembourg Struggle with the Bat
Opting to bat first at the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground, Luxembourg never found momentum on a surface that punished dot balls. Despite the extras column swelling with 33 runs, they managed only 81/8 in 20 overs.
Captain Aarti Priya (4 off 12) and the middle order struggled against disciplined Swiss bowling. Only Elena Gebhard (15 off 32) showed resilience, while opener Rachel Andrew (45 off 26) briefly lifted the scoring rate before being undone by Isabel Toua.
Switzerland’s bowlers stuck to their plans with Mundra Parinitha (2/22) striking early, Saranya Kotha (1/6) tightening the middle overs, and Meghna Rajan (1/5 in 4 overs, including a maiden) delivering a miserly spell that stifled the hosts.

Rajan Guides the Chase
Chasing just 82, Switzerland were never troubled. Although they lost Amrita Sasidharan (11 off 11) and Laila Pickard (14 off 23) within the first six overs, the target was well within reach.
Meghna Rajan, already impressive with the ball, showcased her batting fluency with an unbeaten 26 off 19 balls, striking crisp boundaries to maintain control. Partnered by *Milly Holmes (9 off 12)**, Rajan guided Switzerland to 82/2 in 10.3 overs, securing victory with 57 balls to spare.
