The 3rd and 4th matches of the BPL featured today conclude between Khulna Tigers vs. Dhaka Dominators and Fortune Barishal vs. Sylhet Strikers. Sylhet Sixers and Dhaka Dominators won their respective matches in the 3rd and 4th match of the BPL.
Dhaka Dominators winning the toss and electing to bowl first. In the first match of the day, the Khulna Tigers only managed to score 113 runs in their 20 overs while batting first. Mohammad Saifuddin was the top run contributor for the team.
In a low-scoring encounter, the Dhaka Dominators ultimately came out on top, securing a big victory. Al-Amin Hossain took four crucial wickets for the Dhaka Dominators, while Nasir Hossain and Arafat Sunny took two wickets each. With the help of Nasir Hossain, who made 36 runs off 36 balls, the Dhaka Dominators chased down their 113-run target in the last over, losing just four wickets in 19 overs to win the match by six wickets.
Mohammad Saifuddin took two wickets, while Paul van Meekeren and Wahab Riaz took one wicket each for the Dhaka Dominators. Nasir Hossain was named Player of the Match for his 36(36) contribution and excellent 2/29 bowling.
In the second match, Sylhet Strikers and Fortune Barishal faced off, with Fortune Barishal winning the toss and electing to bat first. Fortune Barishal made a strong 194/7 in their 20 overs, with Shakib Al Hasan and Chaturanga de Silva scoring 67 (32), and 36 (25), respectively. Mashrafe Mortaza took 3 wickets, and Imad Wasim, Thisara Perera and Rejaur Rahman Raja each took one wicket for the Sylhet Strikers.
In reply, the Sylhet Strikers managed to chase down a target and scored 196/4 in their 19 overs, and won the game by 6 wickets. Towhid Hridoy made 55 runs off 34 balls for the team, and Zakir Hasan made a 43 (18) quick fire.
Karim Janat and Chaturanga de Silva took 1 wicket each for Rangpur Riders. Towhid Hridoy was named Player of the Match for his 55(31) team contribution.
