The cricketing world is buzzing with anticipation as the seventh edition of the T20 World Cup gears up for a historic event. Co-hosted by the United States and the West Indies, the tournament kicks off on June 1st, 2024, featuring a record-breaking 20 teams vying for the coveted trophy.

England, the reigning champions from the 2022 edition, will be looking to retain their title. However, they’ll face stiff competition from a diverse pool of contenders, including some first-time participants.

This World Cup marks a special occasion for Canada, Uganda, and the USA. All three teams will be making their T20 World Cup debuts, injecting fresh energy and excitement into the competition. As co-hosts, the USA gained automatic entry, while Canada and Uganda secured their spots through the qualification process.

A Look at the Groups:

The 20 teams are divided into four groups of five, ensuring a thrilling round-robin stage. Here’s a breakdown of the groups:

  • Group A: This group promises fireworks with arch-rivals India and Pakistan facing off alongside the debutants Canada, Ireland, and co-hosts USA.
  • Group B: A rematch of the last two World Cup finals is on the cards as England and Australia find themselves in the same group. Namibia, Scotland, and Oman complete this group.
