The very second day of the T20 World Cup Europe Finals have concluded with Ireland, Germany, and Scotland finding wins.
Denmark vs Ireland
The first match of the day was between Denmark and Ireland where Denmark made 122 runs batting first after winning the match-toss, they lost 9 wickets on the way. Oliver Hald made the most 21 runs playing 15 balls. Mark Adair and Barry McCarthy were the top wicket takers for Ireland in the match with three wickets each in their name.
Ireland made 123 runs losing only one wicket on the way to win the match in Paul Stirling’s 55 not-out game playing 39 balls in the match. Jonas Henriksen took a wicket for Denmark in the match.
Ireland won the match by nine wickets.
Austria vs Germany
The second match of the day was between Austria and Germany where Austria made a total of 83 runs in 18.4 overs in the first inning of the match as they got summed up by Germany in the match. Mark Simpson-Parlwr and Aqib Iqbal made 24 runs each for the team in the match from 29 and 31 legal balls in the match. All the five bowlers from Germany took two wickets each and they recorded a history for all bowlers taking equal two wickets in a T20I match. This is the second T20I match to have the record with Dieter Klein, Ghulam Ahmadi, Muslim Yar, Sahir Naq chhuash, and Elam Bharathi taking two wickets each for Germany in the match.
Germany chased the target in 8.5 overs making 86 runs for the loss of one wicket in the match where Joshua van Heerden made the most 47* in 31 balls for the team. Sahel Zadran took a wicket for Austria in the match.
Germany won the second match of the day by nine wickets.
Scotland vs Jersey
The third match of the day was between Scotland and Jersey where Scotland batting early in the match made 139 runs for the loss of six wickets and posted 140 runs of target to Jersey in Richie Berrington’s 34 runs gaming 29 balls. Charles Perchard, Elliot Miles, and Benjamin Ward took two wickets each for Jersey in the match.
Jersey made 135 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the response to the target in the second inning of the match. Benjamin Ward made the most runs of 47 not out in 29 balls for the team in the match. Mark Watt took the most four wickets for Scotland in the match.
Scotland won the match by 14 runs to add two points and lead the points table with a solid NRR of 2.774.
