T20 World Cup: India Bagged Its First Win By Beating Afghanistan

India bagged their first win of the tournament by beating Afghanistan by 66 runs. India keeps their hopes alive of reaching the semifinals alive. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul hit half-centuries to help India score 210 runs for 2 wickets. In the second innings, Afghanistan was restricted to 144 runs for 7 in their 20 overs. Shami bagged three wickets. And Ashwin bagged two wickets for India. Karim Janat scored 42 runs. Whereas, Mohammad Nabi contributed 35 runs for Afghanistan.

Rohit’s 74 and Rahul’s 69, helped score a total of 140 runs from 14.4 overs. Hardik Pandya and Pant remained not out on 35 and 27 runs respectively. Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib took a wicket each for Afghanistan.
