As Pakistan takes on Scotland, all-rounder Shoaib Malik breaks India’s record. Malik became the fastest Pakistani to score a half-century in T20 Internationals. He scored 54 runs off just 18 balls against Scotland during the ongoing T20 World Cup. Shoaib smashed six sixes on 18 balls. This was the fastest T20 international fifty by a Pakistani batsman. Malik’s heroic innings helped Pakistan post a massive score of 189/4 in 20.

Captain Babar Azam also scored a fifty for the Men in Green in Sharjah. Azam scored a total of 66 runs on 47 balls. Babar smashed five boundaries and three sixes against Scotland. Babar becomes the tournament’s highest run-scorer by scoring 246 runs in this WorldCup. He surpassed England’s Jos Buttler’s 240 in five matches.

The opening batsman, Rizwan got out for 15 runs off 19 balls. He got back early but Rizwan broke West Indian Chris Gayle’s record for most runs in Twenty20 cricket in a calendar year. Rizwan now has 1,676 runs in 41 matches. While Gayle had scored 1,665 runs in 36 matches in 2015.

Mohammad Hafeez also scored rapid 31 runs off 19-balls. Hafeez smashed four boundaries and a six.

Pakistan has won the match against Scotland by 70 runs. And continues to remain the only unbeaten in the WorldCup. Pakistan won all 5 matches and qualified the semifinals. Pakistan will now face Australia on 11th November, in the Semi-Finals.
