Tanzania Cricket to host 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub-Regional Qualifier A in September 2024

Tanzania is set to host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub-Regional Qualifier A in September 2024.

Men’s national teams from Malawi, Ghana, Cameroon, Lesotho and Mali will travel to Tanzania for the tournament which will start from 19 September 2024 and will run till 28 September 2024. All the teams will be facing each other in a single round-robin group stage format, following which the top two teams from the tournament will advance to the Africa Qualifier in 2025.

Tanzania have announced the squad for the tournament. The national men’s team of Tanzania includes Abhik Patwa as the captain. Along with him, Ally Mpeka, Amal Rajeevan, Akhil Anil, Halidy Amiri, Harsheed Chohan, Johnson Nyambo, Jumanne Masquater, Kassimu Nassoro, Laksh Bakrania, Mohammed Yunusi, Mohammed Kitunda, Sanjay Thakor and Zafar Khan are in the team.
