The specifics include that four city-based teams will compete in a double-league format, with each team consisting of 12 local and 6 foreign players.

The PSL 8 final will take place the day before the stand-alone final between the top two teams after 12 league games.

2023’s PSL 8 will run from February 9 through March 19.

Speaking at the event, Ramiz asserted that the launch of The Women’s League is in line with the plan to strengthen Pakistan’s cricketing culture across all genders and competition types.

It gives me great pleasure to announce the women’s league. When our current players share dugouts with the international players, this competition will help them further develop their talents and draw young female cricket players to this wonderful sport. The league, which will consist of 13 matches, will feature current and former female cricket pioneers.

Some of the matches will take place before the HBL Pakistan Super League 8 matches in order to increase coverage and promotion of this initiative.

The goal of this event is to strengthen Pakistan’s cricket-playing culture across all formats and genders. Through this competition, we are giving our female cricketers job prospects in addition to developing appealing brands to boost our cricket industry. Our female cricket players will learn more as they compete in increasingly stressful situations.

“The PCB strongly supports giving women more power so they can shine brighter. We will increase the economic and social prosperity of our nation by involving our women, who make up 49% of the population.
