Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will face off in an exhibition match on February 5th, hosted by Quetta’s Bugti Stadium. Tickets for the match will be available for purchase starting January 30th, with a price of PKR 20 each. Fans can buy tickets from various locations including Bolan Cricket Stadium, Bugti Stadium, Jan Mall, Mariabad (Gulzari Travels), and Airport Road (Almehmood Mart).
The match is being organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in collaboration with the Baluchistan government, as a build-up to the upcoming eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The match will begin at 8am (PST) and the PCB is currently in talks with broadcasters for live coverage.
Leading team purple will be Sarfaraz Ahmed, while Babar Azam will captain team yellow. Babar’s team will feature star cricketers such as Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Haris, Danish Aziz and Saim Ayub. Sarfaraz’s team purple will include players like Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah, and Umar Akmal.
It should be noted that in addition to this exhibition match, the Gladiators will also host the Houston Hurricanes for three T20 matches in Karachi, taking place on January 29th, 30th, and 31st at the National Stadium Karachi. The PSL 8 tournament will run from February 13th to March 19th and will take place in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The city of Multan will host the tournament’s opening ceremony for the first time in the league’s history.
