Chepauk Super Gillies posted a competitive total of 166/6 in their allotted 20 overs. D Santhosh Kumar gave them a solid start, scoring 41 runs off 29 balls, including 5 fours and 2 sixes. Narayan Jagadeesan anchored the innings, remaining unbeaten on 63 from 46 deliveries, hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes.

Captain Baba Aparajith contributed a quick 24 off 18 balls, while C Andre Siddarth chipped in with 17 runs. After being put into bat, the Lyca Kovai Kings posted a total of 160/7 in their 20 overs. S Sujay provided a steady start with a well-made 27 off 24 balls. However, it was captain M Shahrukh Khan who stole the show with a scintillating knock of 55 off just 32 deliveries, including 4 fours and 4 sixes, giving the innings much-needed impetus.

Balasubramaniam Sachin also made a valuable contribution with 30 runs off 24 balls. The middle order struggled to accelerate, with U Mukilesh (13) and Atheeq Ur Rahman (11*) making modest contributions. Natarajan was the pick of the bowlers for Tiruppur, claiming 2 wickets for 32 runs. Ajith Ram was particularly economical and effective, taking 2 wickets for just 13 runs in his 4 overs, while Mohamed Ali and Alliraj Karuppusamy chipped in with a wicket each.

Chasing a target of 161, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans had a shaky start, losing Radhakrishnan for a duck off the first ball of the innings. However, Tushar Raheja anchored the innings brilliantly with a commanding 81 off 57 balls, hitting 9 fours and 2 sixes. Despite his valiant effort, Tiruppur kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Amit Sathvik managed 12 runs before being dismissed by Shahrukh Khan, who also took the crucial wicket of Mohamed Ali, who played a blistering innings of 35 off 20 balls. Captain Vijay Shankar added 16 runs but couldn’t stay longer to guide the chase. The lower order faltered under pressure, with the team needing 7 runs off the last over.
