Tiruppur Tamizhans Crowned TNPL 2025 Final Champions After Crushing Dindigul by 118 Runs
In a final that left no room for doubt, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans stamped their authority on the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025, clinching their maiden title with a commanding 118-run win over Dindigul Dragons.
The star of the night was Tushar Raheja, who capped off a phenomenal season with a blistering 77 off 46 balls, anchoring Tiruppur’s innings to a formidable 220/5. Raheja’s innings, filled with power and precision, included six boundaries and four sixes, making it his fifth half-century of the tournament. He ended the season as the top run-scorer, amassing 488 runs at a strike rate of 186.
Supporting him in style was Amit Sathvik, who showcased maturity beyond his years with a rapid 65 off 34 deliveries. His fourth fifty in five games showcased Tiruppur’s dominant top order, which laid the foundation for a ruthless finish. Even experienced spinners like Ravichandran Ashwin and Varun Chakravarthy couldn’t contain the damage.
Dindigul’s reply never got going. Early wickets in the powerplay derailed their chase, and the innings fell apart quickly as Tiruppur’s bowlers ran riot. Raghupathy Silambarasan, Mohan Prasath, and A Esakkimuthu took two wickets each, with Esakkimuthu ending his debut season as the second-highest wicket-taker (14 wickets).
In just 14.4 overs, Dindigul were bowled out for 102, handing Tiruppur a title-clinching win of epic proportions. Skipper Sai Kishore lifted the trophy as the Tamizhans celebrated their first TNPL triumph, marking a new era for the franchise.
From record individual performances to complete team domination, this final had everything. The 2025 TNPL season will be remembered as the year IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans rose from contenders to champions.
