Uganda won the Tri-Nation T20 Cup in Rwanda

Rwanda hosted a Tri-Nation T20 Cup including the visitors Tanzania and Uganda in the tournament.

The final day of the Tri-Nation T20 Cup in Rwanda concluded today with Uganda winning over Rwanda in today’s first match and the second match of the day between Tanzania and Uganda being abandoned with only the toss.

In the first match played today between Uganda and Rwanda, Rwanda won the toss and elected to field first in the game.

Batting first, Uganda added a total of 108 runs in the first inning as they got all out in 19.3 overs against the opponent. Juma Miyagi was the top run scorer for the team in the game with 21 runs off 28 balls.

To make Uganda all out in the game, Martin Akayezu took the most wickets for Rwanda. Emmanuel Sebareme, Eric Niyomugabo, Ignace Ntirenganya and Kevin Irakoze joined the party with 2, 1, 1 and 1 wickets respectively. Rwanda conceded 8 extras to Uganda in the game that includes 1 lb, 3 nb and 4 wides.

Chasing the target of 109 runs, Rwanda were all out at 105 runs and lost the match against Uganda by 3 runs. Orchide Tuyisenge was the top run scorer for the team with 27 runs off 29 balls. Eric Dusingizimana followed Orchide with 17 runs off 11 balls as the top run scorer for the team in the game list.

Joseph Baguma, Juma Miyagi and Brian Masaba took 3, 2 and 2 wickets respectively for Uganda in the game. Uganda conceded 18 extras to Rwanda that included 8 b, 1 lb, 1 nb and 8 wides.

Joseph Baguma was the Player Of The Match. He had a bowling figure of 4-0-12-3 in the game with 11*(15) in batting.

The second match of the day and last match of the tournament got abandoned with a toss only. The game was between Tanzania and Uganda.

Uganda won the tournament with 20 points on the points table. Uganda won 6 games out of 9 games in the tournament. Two matches for the team went with No Results.
