India has announced its 15-member squad for the Asia Cup 2022. The BCCI announced India’s squad for Asia Cup (Today) on Monday, 8 August. Virat Kohli is selected after returning from a break. KL Rahul also made a comeback as the Vice-Captain while Rohit Sharma will lead the Men In Blue as the Captain.
However, Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah have missed out due to injuries. BCCI stated on Twitter,” Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel were not available for selection owing to injuries. They are currently undergoing rehab at the NCA in Bengaluru. Three players – Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, and Deepak Chahar have been named as standbys.”
