Virat Kohli scored his 71st international century against Afghanistan in Asia Cup

India’s former captain, Virat Kohli has finally scored his 71st International century against Afghanistan in Asia Cup. The star player, Virat Kohli last scored an international century against Bangladesh in a Pink Ball Test on November 23, 2019. This is also Kohli’s very first 100 for India in T20 Internationals.

The 33-year-old player, Kohli has been in fabulous form ever since he returned from a break. In the absence of the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli came to open the innings for India with KL Rahul. Kohli got his 33rd half-century in just 32 balls. He reached his maiden T20I century with a sensational six to Fareed Ahmed. He reached his 71st century in just 53 balls.

Kohli’s score of 122 against Afghanistan included 12 fours and 6 huge sixes. It took Virat Kohli 1,021 days and 83 innings to score his much-awaited 71st century but it was worth the wait. The curse is finally broken for King Kohli. Now, Virat Kohli’s fans can finally say that “the King is back with a bang.”

Afghanistan won the toss but after that, it was all India. India scored a total of 212/2 against Afghanistan after 20 overs. However, Virat’s century will bring a huge sigh of relief to all his fans including the Indian team management ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022. He dedicated his 71st Century To his Wife Anushka Sharma And Daughter Vamika. “I dedicate this hundred to my wife & my daughter,” said Kohli during the mid-innings break in an interview with Star Sports.
