In an exhibition match in Quetta on Sunday, Quetta Gladiators set a target of 185 runs for Peshawar Zalmi. Zalmi’s captain, Babar Azam, won the toss and decided to bowl first. Veteran pacer, Wahab Riaz, provided Zalmi with a good start by dismissing Ahsan Ali and Umar Akmal in the second over of the innings.
However, Quetta fought back in the second half of the innings thanks to impressive innings by Iftikhar Ahmed. He remained unbeaten on 94 runs in 50 balls and hit Wahab Riaz for six sixes in the final over to ensure that Quetta finished on a high. Middle-order batter, Khushdil Shah, scored 36 runs in 24 balls while opener Abdul Wahid Bangalzai scored 28 in 19.

Quetta captain Sarfaraz Ahmed only scored four runs before being cleaned up by Aamir Jamal. Wahab Riaz claimed three wickets but conceded 47 runs in his full quota of four overs.
Fans turned up early to the stadium to watch the match and due to the huge crowd, the management closed the doors of the ground to avoid any mishaps. They are gradually letting the crowd enter the stadium.

Meanwhile, the playing XI for Peshawar Zalmi was Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Haris, Saim Ayub, Haseebullah, Azam Khan, Aamir Jamal, Usama Mir, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, and Salman Irshad.
