Pakistan cricket team ace fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, is all over the media after he made a fiery comeback in the warm-up matches of the tournament. Shaheen Afridi is back in the team for the ongoing T20 World Cup after a long break due to a knee injury.
Earlier, Shaheen Shah was trending on social media for his toe-crushing yorker to Afghanistan’s batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz and now another video of Shaheen is doing the rounds in which he can be seen with a toddler asking the baby whether he wants to play cricket and become the next Babar Azam.
“Cricket khelni hai? Kya banna hai? Babar Azam banna hai?” (Want to play cricket? Who do you want to emulate? Babar Azam?) Afridi jokingly asked the toddler.”
Shaheen made his return to the team for warm-up games against England and Afghanistan. Shaheen went wicketless in the first outing against England. Afridi showed glimpses of his skills with a couple of cracking deliveries against the Afghans.
He castled Gurbaz and Hazratullah Zazai with the trademark in-swinging yorkers.
Meanwhile, after his blistering return, the Pakistan team is confident to step in the T20 World Cup’s first match against the arch-rivals which is scheduled to be played at the iconic Melbourne Cricket ground (MCG) on October 23rd (Sunday).
