The countdown to the much-anticipated ODI World Cup 2023 in India has begun, with the event scheduled to kick off on October 5th. Cricket fans are buzzing with excitement as they eagerly await the extraordinary performances of their favorite players. To make the World Cup experience even more memorable, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is extending golden tickets to several prominent figures in the country.

Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, has already presented these coveted golden tickets to two legendary actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikanth. Adding to this star-studded list is former India cricketer and 2011 World Cup winner, Sachin Tendulkar, who has also been granted this exclusive privilege.

But what exactly do these golden tickets entail? Dubbed the ‘Golden Ticket for Golden Icons’ program, these tickets grant the holders access to all 48 matches of the tournament from the heart of the action. The accreditation card accompanying the ticket designates the holder as a special guest of the BCCI, ensuring a VIP experience at the stadium.

It’s worth noting that the BCCI faced criticism from fans due to the delayed schedule announcement and technical glitches during ticket bookings. In response, the cricket board is going above and beyond to promote the World Cup by honoring India’s eminent personalities with these golden tickets.

Recently, on September 20th, the International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the official anthem of the World Cup 2023, titled ‘Dil Jashn Bole.’ The energetic song, featuring renowned figures like Ranveer Singh, Dhanashree Verma, Gaurav Taneja, Be Younick, and others, celebrates the euphoria surrounding the World Cup in India, hailing it as a festival for cricket fans nationwide.
