The inaugural edition of the Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) is going to have its auction in February 2023.
The BCCI-organised T20 franchise competition, WIPL, is likely to be called the Women’s T20 League. The league will feature five teams in its first edition.
The deadline for Indian players to register for the auction is at or before 5 PM IST (Indian Standard Time) on 26 January 2023.
“The base price (reserve price) for the capped Indian players is set at INR 30 Lakhs, INR 40 Lakhs and INR 50 Lakhs and that for the uncapped players are set at INR 10 Lakhs and INR 20 Lakhs, as per the document titled ‘Guidance note for Indian players’ shared by the board with the Indian players”, mentions ESPNcricinfo.
