Day 3 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Division 1 Qualifier 2025 in Rotterdam belonged to the heavyweights. Ireland Women cruised past Italy with a clinical all-round display, while hosts Netherlands Women rewrote records with a mammoth 202-run win over Germany.
Ireland Women vs Italy Women – Kelly stars in comfortable Irish win

Ireland Women continued their unbeaten run with a commanding victory. Skipper Gaby Lewis (42 off 37) and Rebecca Stokell (38 off 24)* set the platform, while Laura Delany (28 off 19)* added the finishing touches as Ireland posted a strong 166/4.
Italy’s chase never gathered momentum. Despite Chloe Piparo (29 off 23) and Annie Wikman (29 off 34) showing resistance, they were restricted to 103/7. Ireland’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Arlene Kelly, who delivered a match-winning spell of 3/7 in 4 overs, supported by Orla Prendergast and Ava Canning.
Kelly was named Player of the Match for her superb performance.
Netherlands Women vs Germany Women – Heather Siegers smashes historic ton

In the most one-sided game of the tournament so far, the Netherlands Women produced a masterclass. Opener Heather Siegers hammered 106 off 55 balls* with 18 fours, while Phebe Molkenboer (73 off 41) and Babette de Leede (26 off 14) added to the carnage. Extras (32 runs) also boosted the hosts to a record-breaking 255/3, the highest team total of the competition.
Germany’s reply never took off as they were skittled for 53 runs in 17.2 overs. Only Rameesha Shahid (14 off 15) reached double figures. For the Dutch, Iris Zwilling (3/6), Caroline de Lange (2/4), Hannah Landheer (2/5), and Silver Siegers (2/16) ripped through the batting order.
Heather Siegers’ breathtaking century earned her the Player of the Match award.
