The Rwanda tour of Tanzania started on 31 October 2022 and ran till 6 November 2022. In these seven days, Rwanda and Tanzania played 5 T20 Internationals. Tanzania dominated the series all the way to clean sweep Rwanda in the 5-match series.
Today, the series had its last game. Continuing the domination in the series, Tanzania beat Rwanda by 10 wickets chasing down a low target of 84 runs.
Rwanda won the toss and elected to bat first against Tanzania in today’s game. Batting first, Rwanda was able to make only 83 runs in the inning as they got packed up in the 19.1 overs by Tanzania. Orchid Tuyisenge was the high scorer for Rwanda today as he made 42 runs off 52 balls. Eric Dusingizimana was the only second player than Orchide to score runs in double digits in the inning. He made 11 runs off 10 balls.
Tanzania used seven bowlers against Rwanda in the game. SanjayKumar Thakor took 3 wickets for the team. Kassimu Nassoro took double wickets for the team. Ally Kimote, Harsheed Chohan and Yalinde Maurice Nkanya took a single wicket each for the team. Tanzania conceded 7 extras to Rwanda bowling against them.
Coming to bat second in the game, Tanzania opened with Abhik Patwa and Ivan Selemani. Both the openers played excellent innings to help Tanzania finish the game quickly in 7.1 overs. Abhik Patwa made 34 off 21 runs at a strike rate of 161.90 whereas Ivan Selemani made 44 runs off 23 at a strike rate of 191.30.
Rwanda tested six bowlers against Tanzania in the game. Zappy Bimenyimana, Emmanuel Sebareme, Kevin Irakoze, Ignae Ntirenganya, Eric Kubwimana and Martin Akayezu were the bowlers used by Rwanda in the game. None of them had a wicket in today’s game. Rwanda conceded 6 extras to Tanzania bowling against them.
Aime Mucyodusenge from Rwanda made his T20 & T20I debut in today’s game against Tanzania. He was able to make a run in 10 balls in the game.
