India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the second T20 International at Hagley Oval, Christchurch, on October 24, 2026.

Tilak Varma and Nitish Reddy Rescue India
India’s chase appeared in serious trouble when Mitchell Santner’s four-wicket spell reduced the visitors to 112/6.
However, Tilak Varma and Nitish Kumar Reddy produced a decisive partnership.
Tilak scored an unbeaten 51 from 26 deliveries, while Nitish contributed 26 not out from 13 balls.
Their unbeaten 69-run seventh-wicket partnership helped India complete the chase with one delivery remaining.
Earlier, New Zealand posted 180/5, with Glenn Phillips scoring 70 and Bevon Jacobs contributing 58.
Santner returned figures of 4/21, but his performance was not enough to prevent India’s victory.
The result gives India a commanding advantage heading into the third T20I.
