The inaugural edition of the Nepal T20 League was completed with Lumbini All Stars lifting the league trophy. The final match was played today between Lumbini All Stars and Biratnagar Super Kings.
Lumbini All Stars had won the toss and elected to bat first in the final game of the Nepal T20 League 2022 where they were summed up at 133 runs after all the bowlers utilised by the Biratnagar Super Kings were successful in taking wickets. With Lahiru Milantha making 41 runs off 28 balls, the team was summed up at 133 runs in 19.2 overs as the team couldn’t convert much from 105/4 in 14.4 overs. The team lost 6 wickets for their last 27 runs while reaching 133 runs from 105 runs on the board.
Nandan Yadav and Raj Nannan took two wickets each for Biratnagar Super Kings while Hussain Talat, Keon Joseph, Surya Tamang and Rohit Paudel took a wicket each. Biratnagar Super Kings conceded 4 extras to Lumbini All Stars while bowling in the final match.
With Arjun Saud, the top run contributor for the team, making 34 runs off 40 balls, Biratnagar Super Kings could reach 109 runs losing eight wickets in their 20 overs in the final match of the inaugural edition of the league where they lost the match by 24 runs.
Harmeet Singh and Sagar Dhakal took two wickets each for Lumbini All Stars in the game while Bipul Sharma and Kishore Mahato took a wicket each. Lumbini All Stars conceded two extras to Biratnagar Super Kings while bowling in the final match.
Harmeet Singh was the Player of the Match for his 30(18) in batting and 2/16 in bowling.
Lumbini All Stars became the champion of the first edition of the Nepal T20 League and Biratnagar Super Kings became the runner-up. The award of the best batter of the league went to Hashmatullah Shaidi of Far West United with the best bowler award registered to Avinash Bohara of Kathmandu Knights. Surya Tamang from Biratnagar Super Kings became the Emerging Player of the league. Hussain Talat from Biratnagar Super Kings became the Best Player of the league.
