Karachi Kings’ captain, Imad Wasim, expressed disappointment with his bowlers’ performance in the team’s fifth defeat of the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League. Despite Peshawar Zalmi being down to three wickets for just two runs at one point in their innings, Karachi Kings conceded 197-5.

In the post-match conference, the left-handed all-rounder riled up his bowlers, stating, “I think we didn’t bowl well. Credit to Rovman and Haseebullah, they played really well. We are unable to finish in the last six, seven we gave 90-plus runs. Look, you have to bowl yorkers in here, it’s harder to bowl yorkers, length ball was coming onto the bat.”

Imad Wasim further added that the lack of spin made it tough for the spin bowlers. “It was tough as a spinner bowling in these conditions, I think Shamsi and Mujeeb bowled well,” he said.

Despite the loss, Imad Wasim remained positive about his team’s chances and hoped for a swift comeback in the tournament. “We can just go out there and play with pride, play for Karachi. We are still in the tournament, three more games, you never know, someday we can rock up and finish the game, but in the last five games, we haven’t been able to finish,” he concluded.
