The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made some squad changes for the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL season 8). Akeal Hosein from Multan Sultans, Rovman Powell from Peshawar Zalmi, and Odean Smith from Quetta Gladiators will leave after the match between Zalmi and Sultans today due to their international commitments. Additionally, Rassie van der Dussen from Islamabad United will leave today, while David Miller from Multan Sultans will leave after his team’s last group stage game tomorrow against Quetta.
If Multan qualifies for the knockout stage, Johnson Charles from West Indies will replace David Miller for the playoffs. The winner of today’s match between Peshawar and Multan will secure their spot in the playoffs, as they are currently tied on eight points after playing eight matches each. It’s worth noting that Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United have already qualified for the playoffs.
The playoffs and final of the tournament will take place on March 19 in Lahore, which will also host the play-offs. The winner will not only lift the Supernova Trophy but also receive a cheque of Rs120m, while the runners-up will get Rs48m. Below are the remaining matches of PSL season eight:
