Babar Azam, the skipper of the Pakistan cricket team, will be participating in the Ramadan cricket tournament in Lahore. This comes as he is currently resting during the ongoing Afghanistan T20I series. The tournament director, Salman Butt, who is also a former Test cricketer, has announced that several national stars will be participating in the tournament.
The one-of-a-kind Ramadan tournament in Lahore will feature nine teams, and the schedule will be announced soon. The event is set to be highly competitive, with some of the biggest names in Pakistani cricket participating. The tournament is sure to attract a lot of attention from cricket fans across the country.
Babar Azam will lead the Ghani Institute of Cricket (GIC) team, which will also feature other notable players such as Shadab Khan, Hussain Talat, Usama Mir, and Abbas Afridi. The team will be looking to make a strong showing in the tournament and potentially take home the title.
Other teams in the tournament include Khawar Properties, Karachi Warriors, Ghani Glass, Blackstone Bahadurs, H.B. Lal, Eshal Associates, Center of Excellence, and Team Raja Sahib. Each team is expected to have some of the best cricket players in Pakistan, making for some intense and exciting matches.
Players from the Pakistan-Afghanistan series will also be returning to Lahore to participate in the event. The three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Afghanistan is set to end on March 27. The first match took place on March 24, with Afghanistan taking the lead in the series.
