IPL 2023 Live Streaming Details: The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to take place in its older format, with teams playing their home matches in their designated stadiums across India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently released an Invitation to Tender for IPL Media Rights 2023-2027, which earned a whopping INR 48,390 crores for both digital and TV rights. This will cover a total of 410 matches played over five years, earning BCCI around INR 118 crore per match.

Disney Star Retains TV Rights, Viacom18 Bags Digital Rights
Disney Star retained the Indian sub-continent TV rights by paying Rs 23,575 crore, or Rs 57.5 crore per game. On the other hand, Viacom18 bagged the digital rights with a winning bid of Rs 23,578 crore. This is the first time that BCCI has sold the IPL broadcasting rights for television and digital separately. Previously, Star India Network won the IPL broadcasting rights for the 2017-22 cycle for INR 16,347.50 crores for both digital and TV.
IPL 2022 Winner and Its Financial Impact
The Gujarat Titans were the winners of IPL 2022. The per match value for IPL increased by more than 100% from the previous Rs 54.5 crore to above Rs 118.02 crore, making it the second most expensive sports league in the world. The per-match value (USD 14.61 million) of IPL is second only to NFL where every match is worth USD 17 million.
IPL 2023 May Have More Matches
The BCCI has hinted that it may increase the number of IPL games per season in the upcoming 2023-27 cycle.
