IPL or T20 Blast? Hasan Ali makes choice

Pakistan’s talented fast bowler, Hasan Ali, recently shared his inclination towards England’s T20 Blast over the Indian Premier League (IPL). In an interview with renowned cricket journalist Aatif Nawaz, Hasan expressed his reasons for favoring the T20 Blast and his hopes for improved cross-border participation in franchise T20 leagues.

Hasan’s Preference for T20 Blast:

Acknowledging the IPL as one of the most prominent franchise leagues globally, Hasan candidly revealed his preference for the T20 Blast. The key factor influencing his choice is the exclusion of Pakistani players from the IPL, making the T20 Blast a more appealing platform for him.

The Thrill of Pakistan Super League (PSL):

When asked to choose between the PSL and the T20 Blast, Hasan wasted no time in picking the PSL as his league of choice. The passion and excitement of playing for his home country in the PSL hold a special place in his heart.

Hopes for Cross-Border League Participation:

Hasan expressed his desire for improved bilateral relations between Pakistan and India, which would allow cricketers from both nations to participate in each other’s franchise T20 leagues. He emphasized the potential benefits of fostering cricketing ties and creating opportunities for players to showcase their skills on a global stage.

Friendship within the Pakistan Cricket Team:

Discussing his camaraderie within the Pakistan cricket team, Hasan highlighted the strong bond he shares with his teammates. While considering all his teammates as friends due to their significant time together, Hasan singled out Shadab Khan as his closest friend. He praised Shadab’s genuineness, outstanding cricketing abilities, leadership qualities, and friendship. Additionally, Hasan mentioned his good rapport with Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, and Asif Ali.

Impressive Stint with Warwickshire:

Currently representing Warwickshire in the County Championship, Hasan is grateful for the opportunity to compete in the upcoming T20 Blast. With a solid start, having claimed 11 wickets at an average of 22.72 in the three matches played, Hasan aims to continue his impressive form and make a strong case for a national team comeback.
