2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Finals 2023: Ireland and Germany secure big wins; Italy finds first win of the tournament

The game-day 3 of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Finals 2023 have concluded with Ireland, Italy and Germany securing a win each.

Ireland vs Austria:

The first match of the day was between Ireland and Austria where Ireland scored a solid 226 runs for the loss of four wickets batting first in the match to post a solid target of 227 runs to Austria. Lorcan Tucker played a not out innings of 94 runs in 51 legal deliveries in the first inning of the match. Aqib Iqbal took two wickets for Austria in the match with Amit Nathwani and Abdullah Akbarjan taking a wicket each.

Austria made a total of 98 runs in response to the target for the loss of all of their wickets in 18.4 overs of the second inning of the match with Razmal Shigiwal making the top 33 runs off 32 for the team in the match where Ireland’s Mark Adair secured four-wicket haul in his name with Josh Little and Curtis Campher taking two wickets each and Barry McCarthy and Ben White taking a wicket each.

Ireland won the match by 128 runs.

Italy vs Jersey:

The second match of the day was between Italy and Jersey where Italy batted first and made a strong 183 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the match to post a strong 184 runs of target to Jersey in the match where Wayne Madsen played a half-century knock of 52 runs off 30 for Italy in the match played today. Charles Perchard and Benjamin Ward took three wickets each for Jersey in the match with Elliot Miles taking a wicket.

Jersey made 158 runs in 20 overs of the second inning where all batters except Josh Lawrenson with 14 runs off 13 got out. Grant Stewart and Gareth Berg took three wickets each for Italy in the match with Harry Manenti taking two wickets and Jaspreet Singh and Benjamin Manenti taking a wicket each.

Italy won the match by 25 runs.

Denmark vs Germany:

The third match of the day was between Denmark and Germany where Denmark who batted first in the match made 124 runs on the board conceding nine wickets in the first inning of the match in taranjit Bharaj’s 43 runs off 37 deliveries. Dieter Klein, Ghulam Ahmadi, Muslim Yar and Elam Bharathi took two wickets each for Germany with Sahir Naqash taking a wicket.

Germany made 126 runs in the match while chasing the target and won the match in 16.5 overs by six wickets. Joshua van Heerden made the top 42 off 33 for Germany in the match where Abdullah Mahmood took three wickets for Denmark.

Germany won the match by six wickets.
