Pakistan defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the second T20I, taking a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.

After winning the toss, Pakistan captain Nida Dar elected to field first. South Africa’s opening batters, Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits, put on a solid start, scoring 46 runs in the powerplay. However, the left-arm spin duo of Nashra Sundhu and Sadia Iqbal then broke the partnership, dismissing Wolvaardt and Brits in quick succession.

South Africa’s middle order struggled to get going, and they were eventually restricted to 150-3. Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal were the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, taking one wicket each.

In reply, Pakistan’s opener Shawaal Zulfiqar was dismissed early, but Bismah Maroof and Sidra Amin put on a 68-run partnership to steady the innings. Muneeba Ali and Aliya Riaz then took the attack to the South African bowlers, scoring 54 runs off 29 balls to take Pakistan home with five deliveries to spare.
