Harmanpreet kaur ruled out of Women’s Super League 2017
Harmanpreet Kaur, who sustained a shoulder injury during net practice on the eve of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 final against England at Lord’s, has been ruled out of the upcoming Super League T20 tournament.
The India all-rounder has been asked to take rest for one month after an MRI scan on her right shoulder revealed a tear. The swashbuckling middle-order bat was signed by the Super League franchise, Surrey Stars, in May this year.
Last year, Harmanpreet had also become the first Indian – male or female – to sign a contract with a foreign T20 league after the Women’s Big Bash League franchise Sydney Thunder had signed her up ahead of the second season. She had a terrific season with the franchise, scoring 296 runs and picking up six scalps. She was declared as Thunder’s Player of the Tournament for her consistent performances.
