Adelaide Strikers, fueled by a dominant spin duo, cruised to a 50-run victory over Perth Scorchers in the Eliminator, securing their spot in the KFC BBL|13 Challenger.
Spin Sensation: Lloyd Pope (4-24) and Cam Boyce (3-20) delivered a masterclass, dismantling the Scorchers’ batting line-up and extending the Strikers’ winning streak to five.
Weatherald Leads the Way: Jake Weatherald (50) anchored the Strikers’ batting with a powerful knock, while Ben Manenti and Henry Thornton provided late-innings fireworks to push the score to 155-7.
Fanning’s Debut Fireworks: Scorchers opener Sam Fanning (31) burst onto the scene with sixes and fours, but Pope’s magic ball sent him back early.
Pope and Boyce Take Over: The leg-spin duo ran riot, claiming seven wickets between them, extinguishing any hope of a Scorchers comeback.
Challengers Clash: The Strikers now face Brisbane Heat in a do-or-die battle on Monday, with the winner taking on Sydney Sixers in the Final.
