Sam Billings has officially joined the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons for the 2024 Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The seasoned England international replaces Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai, who is unavailable for this year’s tournament.

Billings brings a wealth of experience to the Falcons, with over 300 T20 matches under his belt. He has played in various prestigious leagues around the world, including the IPL in India, the Big Bash League in Australia, and the Pakistan Super League. With a tally of more than 6,000 runs in the T20 format, Billings is expected to add significant firepower and strategic depth to the Falcons’ batting lineup.

The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons are a new addition to the CPL for the 2024 season, making their debut in the league’s opening match on August 29. Their first game will be a much-anticipated clash against the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, their closest rivals.

Billings’ inclusion is a significant boost for the Falcons as they aim to make a strong start in their inaugural CPL season. His experience and proven track record in T20 cricket make him a key asset for the team as they compete in the highly competitive Caribbean league.
