In reply, Italy Women chased the target with ease, finishing on 109/2 in just 14 overs. Chloe Piparo (35 off 30) provided a strong start, while Annie Wikman (38 off 31)* and Ilenia Sims (22 off 15)* sealed the victory. Sims was named Player of the Match for her all-round performance.
Match 2: Netherlands Women vs Ireland Women – Kelly’s five-for stuns hosts
Result: Ireland Women won by 7 wickets | NL-W 110 (18.5 ov) vs IRE-W 111/3 (19.1 ov)
Netherlands Women struggled against Ireland’s disciplined attack, collapsing to 110 all out. Skipper Babette de Leede (23 off 20) and Robine Rijke (25 off 27) tried to stabilize, but Arlene Kelly ripped through the middle and lower order with a sensational 5/14, well supported by Leah Paul (2/11).
In the chase, skipper Gaby Lewis anchored with 56 off 55, while Orla Prendergast contributed 49 off 44. Ireland reached the target at 111/3 with 5 balls to spare, keeping their unbeaten run intact. Kelly was deservedly awarded Player of the Match.
With these results, Italy kept their qualification hopes alive, while Ireland extended their dominance in the tournament with another commanding win.
