Indian all-rounder Prema Rawat created history on November 2, 2026, scoring an unbeaten 50 from just 14 deliveries for Uttarakhand against Hyderabad in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy.
The innings established a new reported record for the fastest half-century in women’s T20 cricket.
Rawat Surpasses Previous 15-Ball Benchmark
Rawat surpassed the previous 15-ball record, which had been equalled by Pakistan captain Fatima Sana against Zimbabwe in May 2026.
Her explosive innings helped Uttarakhand reach 187/2 in 20 overs.
Hyderabad were restricted to 98/8, giving Uttarakhand an 89-run victory.
Rawat also delivered an impressive bowling performance, claiming two wickets for 12 runs.
The 24-year-old Indian international has represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Women’s Premier League.
Record clarification: Rawat’s achievement came in domestic women’s T20 cricket. Fatima Sana retains the separate women’s T20 International record of 15 balls.
