Australian fast bowler Megan Schutt has received a two-match suspension after breaching Cricket Australia’s requirements concerning prescription medication.
The governing body confirmed the disciplinary action on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
The suspension applies to Australia’s third and final Women’s T20 International against New Zealand at North Sydney Oval on October 22 and Adelaide Strikers’ opening Women’s Big Bash League match against Melbourne Stars on October 31.
Cricket Australia Clarifies Nature of Breach
Cricket Australia explained that the incident involved a single occurrence outside competition and was not connected to performance enhancement.
Schutt accepted the disciplinary sanction and apologised for failing to meet the required standards.
The development comes as Australia conclude their three-match T20I series against New Zealand and Adelaide Strikers prepare for the upcoming WBBL season.
Schutt remains one of Australia’s experienced international fast bowlers, making the announcement significant for both international and franchise cricket.
