International Players Strengthen NPL Squads
Rutherford brings extensive experience from franchise competitions including the Caribbean Premier League, Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League and Major League Cricket.
The left-handed batter is known for his aggressive approach in the middle overs.
Shamim Hossain adds batting depth and off-spin options to Lumbini Lions.
The Bangladesh international was part of his country’s victorious Under-19 World Cup squad in 2020.
Both players will strengthen their respective franchises as the third Nepal Premier League season approaches.
The eight-team tournament begins on October 26 and runs until November 21 at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
